ENVIRO-SAVE
HYDRAULIC TREATMENT

Enviro-Save "ONE TIME METAL TREATMENT" is your best defense against repair expense!

In Hydraulic Systems it is extremely important to keep wear metals and contaminants to a minimum and to prevent them from circulating and causing premature wear on polished or finely finished machined bearing surfaces.  Excessive friction/wear changes clearances (original tolerances) and has a negative affect on performance.  When it comes to comparing Enviro-Save performance results in mechanical components, it is important to remember that mating bearing surfaces in Hydraulics are not much different than engines or any other mechanical component bearing surfaces.  Remember Enviro-Save reduces friction/wear in dentist drills.  It does not matter what the component configuration is because all bearing surfaces are rough under magnification and Enviro-Save does not change bearing surface clearances (OEM tolerances)!!

Many times over the past 19 years Enviro-Save has eliminated leaks on Hydraulic cylinders, even on rebuilt cylinders.  Most people believe the chrome on a Hydraulic cylinder rod is very smooth, when in fact chrome is very rough under magnification.  The impregnation of the Enviro-Save resin is very effective in making a smoother chromed surface, all seals and seal surfaces become smoother, thus providing an improved seal for fluids, and reducing contaminates from entering the system.  When a new Hydraulic System is treated right away with Enviro-Save, it is not uncommon to extend pump and seal life by several times the norm.

After the Enviro-Save resin is impregnated into all friction/bearing surfaces – metal and fluid operating temperatures are reduced and the smoother surfaces contribute to reduced oil turbulence, thus providing longer fluid life with improved performance and protection.  When it comes to maintenance, Hydraulic Systems are easily forgotten about or the fluids are not changed frequently enough.  Hydraulic fluids (oils) are normally just basic and elevated operating temperatures/excessive time on fluids reduces component protection, which is why Enviro-Save is so effective in Hydraulics.

Enviro-Save resin is inert and therefore affords excellent protection against moisture/condensation damage on components.  Whenever a surface is impregnated with Enviro-Save resin, it is impossible for moisture to penetrate and cause corrosion within the bearing surface asperity.  When a Hydraulic System is contaminated with a substantial amount of water, Enviro-Save will prevent catastrophic damage and/or failures.

Heat and friction can contribute to vibration and noise in Hydraulic Systems and it is very common for Enviro-Save customers to comment that their equipment is much smoother and quieter after Enviro-Save.

APPLICATION:  Enviro-Save Hydraulic Treatment recommended treatment quantities are:

1.   2% of the entire Hydraulic System fluid capacity, i.e. 100 quart Hydraulic System would use 2 quarts of Enviro-Save.

2.   5% of the operating system capacity – excluding reservoir, i.e. 100 quart Hydraulic System with 50 quart reservoir = 50 quart operating capacity = 2 1/2 quarts of Enviro-Save.

The reason for using two different treatment percentage amounts is due to some Hydraulic Systems having very large fluid reservoirs for cooling purposes, i.e. marine applications where the Hydraulic tank is in the bottom of the boat and cooling is restricted or in some factory/stationary Hydraulic Systems with massive tanks but small amounts of Hydraulic equipment.
